Today we’re talking about the STRIVE quality of:

Inner Drive

You see, many Sensitive Strivers spend their entire professional lives in a sort of performance, showing up as the people they think they need to be in order to be successful.

To feel worthy, they try to capture self-esteem by chasing external validation, promotions, accolades, and approval.

They believe (unconsciously) that if they could just put in more effort they’d feel “good enough,” so they work harder and longer in order to compensate for their perceived failings.

This perfectly describes what happens when your Inner Drive is unbalanced. You may:

❌ Overwork to the point of exhaustion and burnout

❌ Take on more goals than you can handle

❌ Have a high attachment to outcomes and external rewards

On the other hand, when your Inner Drive is balanced, you’re able to:
